Lead Training Consultant

£50,000 - £60,000

Are you an ambitious Training Consultant who has experience of training experienced professionals in the use of vital business software?  If so, this role could be a great opportunity for you.

It’s a newly created position working for a B2B software company with an impressive list of private and public sector clients.  Their software changes the way businesses work, increasing efficiency, improving processes, saving money and delivering a direct impact on their client’s bottom line.

They have decided to create this vital position to ensure that they deliver professional training services to both new and existing customers.

You will have responsibility for developing the existing training material, particularly as the software evolves, by embracing new resources, creating new content (e.g. video) and delivering an outstanding experience for their clients.

Key objectives include:

  • Develop outstanding end-user training packages which will ultimately drive increased revenue for the business
  • Create consistency in training courses and content across all the solutions offered by the company
  • Upskill the user base ensuring that the product is better understood resulting in better adoption for clients a reduction of cases being raised on the helpdesk
  • Allow the business to consistently review and refine the processes in the training material as the solutions develop greater functionality.

Strong candidates will offer the following key skills, experience and personality traits:

Background in software training, ideally with exposure to accounts, finance, procurement and/or shared services software/users

Experience of developing and delivering appropriate software material

Strong business acumen

Ability to build productive working relationships across the business

Confident, effective communication skills

Ability to work with a degree of autonomy.

Energetic, ambitious character

The clients head office is based in West Yorkshire and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will need to spend significant time at head office learning about the business and its solutions in the first few months in the job.  Local accommodation can be provided if this isn’t commutable on a daily basis.

Following that initial period, a more flexible working pattern is possible for someone who doesn’t want to commute to the office regularly, particularly as clients are nationwide and regular travel to their offices will be required.
